How do I disable ad blockers or enable pop-ups to stream video?

If you have either ad blockers enabled or pop-ups disabled on your browser, you may experience issues streaming NetQuizz shows, or you may be unable to stream altogether. Just follow these instructions specific to browsers supported for NetQuizz.

Chrome: Disable AdBlock/AdBlock Plus

To disable AdBlock in Chrome:

1. Click on the AdBlock icon on the top right of your browser. A drop-down menu will appear.
2. Click ‘Don’t Run’ on pages on this domain.
3. Once clicked a pop-up will appear. Click ‘Exclude’ and the page should refresh.
4. If necessary, refresh the NetQuizz page as well.

To disable AdBlock Plus in Chrome:

1. Click the Chrome Menu icon from the browser toolbar.
2. Highlight the ‘More Tools’ menu, then click ‘Extensions’ from the sub-menu.
3. Uncheck the ‘Enabled’ box that appears next to the ‘Adblock Plus’ entry.

Chrome: Allow Pop-Ups

In Chrome, you can allow pop-ups from a specific site, like NetQuizz.com:

1. On your computer, open Chrome.
2. Find a page that has pop-ups blocked for you.
3. In the address bar, click Pop-ups blocked.
4. Click the link for the pop-up window you’d like to see.
5. To always see pop-ups for the site, there are two options:
   a) Select Always show pop-ups from [netquizz.com] > Done.
   b) Or, click the menu (3 vertical dots) in the top right corner of your Chrome browser. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Additional permissions > then select “Pop-Ups and redirects” to add your site.

Firefox: Disable AdBlock/AdBlock Plus

Please note that Firefox no longer supports AdBlock, only Adblock Plus. However, if you still have AdBlock, use the steps below.

To disable AdBlock in Firefox:

1. Click the menu icon (3 vertical dots) and choose Options
2. Select Privacy and Security then scroll down to Permissions
3. Scroll to Block Pop-Ups Windows then uncheck  to disable

1. Click on the AdBlock Plus icon (Red stop sign with ABP written on it).  A dropdown menu will appear.
2. Click Disable on NetQuizz.com.
3. The page and video should re-load. If not, click the “re-load” icon on the address bar.

Firefox: Allow Pop-Ups

In Firefox, you can allow pop-ups from a specific site, like netquizz.com:

1. Click the menu icon (3 vertical dots) and choose Options
2. Select Privacy and Security then scroll down to Permissions
3. Scroll to Block Pop-Ups Windows, click on the Exceptions… to open a dialog box.
4. In the dialog box, you can specify which websites (NetQuizz.com) are allowed to open pop-up windows.
5. Type “www.netquizz.com” and then click Allow.

Microsoft Edge: Disable Adblock

To disable AdBlock in Microsoft Edge:

1. Select the More actions (…) button and select Settings.
2. Select Settings, then Cookies and site permissions then scroll down to “pop-ups” and “Ads” and select each tab ensuring they are turned off.
3. OR, select the Add option to add the sites you want to exempt or allow

Safari: Disable AdBlock/AdBlock Plus

To disable AdBlock/AdBlock Plus in Safari:

1. Open up your Safari browser.
2. Click on Safari located in the menu bar of your browser and select Preferences. The Preferences window will be displayed.
3. Click on the Extensions button. A list of all extensions you have installed to Safari will appear.
4. Navigate to and click on AdBlock/AdBlock Plus in the list of extensions in the left pane.
5. Toggle the On button to Off in the Preferences window. AdBlock/AdBlock Plus will then be temporarily disabled, until the customer decides they want the extension re-enabled.

Safari: Allow Pop-Ups

To allow Pop-Ups in Safari for Mac:

1. Open Safari.
2. In the top left corner of the window, click Safari.
3. Click Preferences in the dropdown menu.
4. Click the Security tab.
5. Under Web content, uncheck Block pop-up windows.

To allow Pop-Ups in Safari for PC:

1. Open Safari.
2. Click on the Settings icon in the top right corner of the window.
3. In the dropdown menu, uncheck Block Pop-Up Windows.
